WELCOME
TO THE FAMILY PAGE
      Dearly Beloved,

I haven't updated this newsletter in quite some time. It is now September  29, 2021 and I'm in my 88th year. I was quite ill in December of 2020 before Christmas. I had my second stent pocedure at Southshore Hospital after having my first stent during November of 2019. Then in July of this year my kidneys gave up afer two hypoglycemic events  within 24 hours. The result is that I am on dialysis  now since the lat two weeks in July. I now go for treatment Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings which is now for three and a half hours afer starting at four hours.  I am still fortunate to have a loving and supportive son, Len, to help and take care of me. He originally drove me to treatments. I have now taken to driving myself, which has given Len back some time into is own life. He really does more than I have any right to expect of him. He shops and makes sure I behave as needed in order to stay well.  I have not managed to celebrate the Holy Eucharist at Saint Mary's, Lake Ronkonkoma in quite some time. The congregation prays for me and I miss being with them altough I try to participate virtually via the Facebook Virtual Eucharist.  I'm finally feelig better and stronger since being on dialysis. I'm back to singing karaoke Friday evenings at the Nightlife Lounge in Patchogue.   My stenosis is still with me.  I do little shopping. Len's does most of my food shopping watching my diet.
Patricia and I manage to talk on the phone. Covid 19 has really interfered with much of life.  She spends some wonderful times baby sitting her 2 grandsons,

Patches, our cat still enjoys climbing up on my chest and rubbing his head under my beard.

Sue's Memorial Garden has been neglected for two years. That is due to  Jessica's time being limited.

One the most wonderful thngs to happen over the past ten years is my nehew, David E. Carmiencke, Jr. bringing his sons and daughter to visit me on "B.C,'s"  birthday on July 7. 2016. That was a very happy day for me.

The only thing  brought some gray into the past couple of years was learning that David's mother, Susan, had cancer, which in August 2018 appeared to be in full remission. Our prayers are that she stay in full remission. Pray also for her husband, who is now deceased. Pray for my brother, that he will have strength along with Susan to live with one of the hardest things anyone of us can be called upon to live with. My prayers are with them each evening.

I am thrilled by my grandson Boomer's graduation from  Law School at Hofstra University this year, 2021, in May. Peace be with everyone.
