Susan Constance Healey Carmiencke died May 23, 2010 and was buried  next to her parents in Saint Ann's Episcopal Church Cemetery,  Sayville, Long Island, New York.

Sue grew up in Jamaica, and Sayville, NY graduating from St. Faith's School in Saratoga, NY. She gained her M.S. in primary education  from Adelphi  University and worked in the Patchogue, Sayville and East Islip School districts on Long Island. She married Col August 20, 1960 and taught in the Penn-Delco School District in PA. to put Col through his last two years at The Philadelphia Divinity School. She became a faithful and hard working parishioner in every parish in which Col served after his graduation in 1962. She gave her best years as mother and wife. During her years in Bohemia, she earned her second Masters Degree in Library Science from Long Island University, serving as Librarian in Connetquot, Shirley-Moriches and Sachem Libraries. Sue has been the Genealogist for the Hawkins Association for 20 years and an active member and Past President of the Doll Fanciers Club of Patchogue, New York.

Marriage Encounter Days the 1970's. I wish she would have appreciated her beautiful smile like this photo. She was difficult to photograph; But Praise be to God, we have this picture with us still.
