The play is about an encounter of Old Testament people. It takes place somewhere and sometime Between after death and before
eternity.
The setting is a circle of light in the midst of darkness. It begins with Endria, the Witch of Endore, who has been waiting alone in the light, pondering why she is, where she is.
Each character steps out of the shadows and must confront the lives they lived in relation to the
others.
Each character is there to face the harm they have committed and discover the seeds they planted into the lives of others. This particular presentation is in the form of dynamic dramatic reading, which is the attempt to provide an audience with a vision of a full stage production.
The audience is asked to imagine a darkened stage with a tighter circle of light of which the characters step in and out, at times to brood after encounters.
The play was inspired by the question, “What accounting did Samuel ever have for the vicious cold blooded murder of Agag?” That led to Samuel having to face the main characters in his life as provided by the Old Testament.
